Dog Waste Only…

Wherever there are wide green fields and century-old tree trunks, nature calls. Every dog-walker’s chore in the park.

Dog Waste Only

Uncertainty…

Here we go, again.

Time to look for another place to stay since there wasn’t another take-away restaurant that I can go to. Probably had no vancancy. Also, my inability to read or write in Chinese might also be a problem and of all places, it’s only here in the UK. Hmm…

Not wanting to lose my membership with the local library and its facilities, I’m not looking to stray to far. Will be counting on:

1. The new restaurant landlord to rent out the little room that has been my shelter for the past 3 weeks; Looks as though this one might work, subject to discussion tomorrow. Yes, it did work. Still doing the same thing as before, just with a new owner.
2. My own hunt for a room this weekend; On hold.
3. A Singaporean church member to help; Nope, this one didn’t.
4. A NEW JOB! See whether an interview happens next week.

I gave up the obvious hostel option when I visited a ‘hostel’ I found over the Internet. It turned out to be a hostel for the mentally ill!

Tune in next week for dull adventures of…

Prayers…

October 2nd, 2005 10:15am MY 6:15am UAE

Only had about one hour’s sleep between 2 movies in a six-plus-hour flight from KL to Dubai. Need to realign myself towards your will, Lord. After a month long break from work, I’ve found myself slacking into being a Sunday Christian again. Even during this critical transition, I have forsaken you when I was suppose to seek You. Still, you countinue to pour countless blessings. Praise You, Lord. Use this new experience for your glory, oh Lord. Let things that need to happen be in accordance to Your perfect plan. Remind me to be humble and submit to it and to be near you always. With You along side, working holiday here I come!

October 2nd, 2005 11pm UK

Dear God, Hillsong London was different, sung my lungs out. No message, similar to VCD. Sleepy…Praise the Lord!

October 6th, 2005 12am

Dear Lord, I’ve finally got bored of London’s sights. Just maybe. Had a good dinner with Julian, a lot of tips and ideas. Thank you, Lord for your continued guidance. Amen.

October 9th, 2005 8.30am

Dear Lord, I have to confess that I feel lost. I know you’re right here with me. I just need to remind myself and to be humble and sensitive to your Spirit’s leading. As usual, I’m always worrying about my money, my job that I haven’t found and a place to stay. Lord, I now bring it all to your feet in prayer: 1. Grant me favour in the eyes of the employer for the I-DEAS draughtsman position as this is what I’m interested in doing. 2. Grant me favour, otherwise, in the eyes of Rory’s client for the design position. 3. Grant favour in my search for a temporary graphic design internship here in Greenwich while waiting for a permanent position. 4. Reveal your plan for my HSMP application. 5. Sort my employment issues that I may settle in and look for a new church and ways to serve. 6. That I will come and meet you at HTB today. Praise the Lord for these opportunities that He has given and the ones He is about to grant. Amen.

October 12th, 2005 11:30pm

Dear Lord, Thank you for your countless provisions. Every step, every meal, every position applied, every chat, and especially for the latest one. A place to stay, meals, and a chance to make myself useful. Thank you, Lord for Ah Xiong who provided contact, Dad who reminded me to call, Grace and Jane for their generosity, and You for laying out the perfect plan. Help me to continue to be humble to your plans for me and to trust that You want only the best for me. Lord, bless my search for a permanent position and may it turn out to be for Your Glory. Grant journey mercy tomorrow as I’m travelling heavy. Thank you, Father. Amen.

October 14th, 2005 12:10am

Dear Lord, Great is the Lord our God. Awesome is the Lord most high. Thank you Lord for your continued providence in this new land that I am to ‘conquer’ for You. Thank you for Grace and Jane for their generosity in offering shelter and food while making myself useful here in their take-away reetaurant. This has allowed me to save up for later as I continue to look for better employment opportunities from the resources you’ve showed me today and those you’ve placed around me. May today be a promising day. Thank you for your continued protection throughout my journey and refuge at the Holy Trinity Dartford. Praise God as there’s so many blessings to thank Him for, most importantly the ultimate of the sacrifice: Jesus…

October 15th, 2005 2:45am

Dear Lord, Thank you for my first restaurant accounting job. Thank you for their trust in Your servant… That you may bless them with the Good News. Amen.

October 16, 2005 2:10am

Dear Lord, I praise You for the blessings You have poured upon me, an initial source of income so that I can give back to you today at 2 churches. Thank you, Lord, for answering prayer from last Sunday at Holy Trinity Brompton. Surely the remainders will come to past in your time. Thank you, Father. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
