Greetings from London!

Hi, Mum, Dad, David.
Thank you for the birthday greetings. Not the first time I’m celebrating my birthday alone but this year was particularly uneventful.
Well, I’ve visited all the places that I was interested in here in London after 3 days. And I’ve found the cheapest internet access there is in town (£1/hr).
  • Sunday: Hillsong London (church)
  • Monday: Royal Observatory @ Greenwich Meridian (Longitude 0 degrees), National Gallery (Vincent Van Gogh’s Sunflower), Chinatown.
  • Tuesday: Buckingham Palace and watch the Change of Guard (and I thought I saw Vladimir Putin coming out), Lunch with Tan Tung, Tower Bridge (commonly mistaken for the London Bridge, this is the landmark), British Museum, Harrods.
  • Wednesday: Houses of Parliment + Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Downing Street (Vladimir Putin again), Natural History Museum (boring), Camden Market (pasar malam style), having dinner with Ah Sui later.
As for employment, I think I’m only a phone call away from a banqueting position, or a live-in hotel job. But I’m being more careful with the 12 months that I have for employment so I’m looking for something engineering before settling for something less. This way engineering employers won’t lose out on the little time that I have with them. No news yet though, going to start calling a few people tomorrrow and give them some pressure.

No access to Skype from my notebook yet. Might have to wait until I find a permanent place to live. Then I can keep in closer contact. That’s all for now.

Love,
Alex (who’s 25 years young now).

Ah, decided to post for you, to get you started. If not, the blog looks very empty.
Anyhow, have you got a cell phone? What’s the number?

Hillsong’s Church, London! Must have been awesome.

Hillsong London was basically all worship with a little break for announcement. No message though, and everything is recorded for DVD later or something. Went to another last Sunday, Holy Trinity Brompton, the church that started the Alpha Course and Nicky Gumbel’s the Vicar there. Great time of worship and message.

The site looks great. Feel free to continue to continue to mess with it until I wrestle control…

Also, I’m moving today. To Ah Xiong’s (that distant cousin in Shanghai) sister (so another distant cousin) place where they have a take-away/deliveryChinese restaurant. They’re letting me stay so I have to make myself useful, like sending food to people’s doorstep. It’s a 30-minute train ride from here. Interesting…

Well, I’m back at the Internet cafe because the typical London weather has finally hit… rain!
I’ll be back online when I’m all settled in there. Write to you later.

You should log in, and post. It’ll look nicer. Heehee. Anyhow, yeah. Just don’t change the password. I’ve set up a guideline over at the “Pages” section, so if there’s anything that you need to know, just leave a comment there. I’ll post the answer on the page itself.
